Redwood City agency moves into larger space, plans new hires to
accommodate rapid growth
Redwood City, CA - April 22, 2003 - Connect Direct, a privately-held,
full-service agency specializing in direct marketing for
high-technology companies, has announced that its Q1 revenues increased
more than 300 percent over the same period in 2002.
On April 1, the 14-person company moved from its prior location of 9
years to new, larger space in downtown Redwood City. In addition, the
agency says it is planning new hires in creative, administrative, and
account management roles as it grows rapidly to better manage the
escalation in new business. In January, the firm welcomed Christine
Antoun as its new client services director.
"We're slowly seeing signs of a turnaround in Silicon Valley," says
Howard J. Sewell, Connect Direct's president. "Companies are realizing
they can't stay on the sidelines indefinitely, but also don't want to
invest their marketing dollars indiscriminately. For now, people are
being very cautious and focusing primarily on measurable,
results-oriented programs, which is why we think our activity level is
way up."
